February 10th, 1968

Good morning, Agent. You've been given an assignment that is of utmost importance. In the Kovarzek Hotel in Liberigo, Kivasek, a technology summit will be held by Kivasekian Offices of Science on February 14th. Nations from around the world have been invited to discuss technologies and even to show them off in the name of the advancement of humanity and unity. We, however, don't buy this one bit. We want you to be at the summit and find out what the Kivasekians are really planning to do there. It's also within the interest of the government that you try and collect as much data on the other nations' technological efforts. Keep causalities, civilian or otherwise, to a minimum; we don't want an international incident to come of this.

You will be alone on this mission, so watch out for anyone calling themselves a friend, and be wary of other agents; we've no doubt other forces will be after the same things we are. You have the option of choosing what gear you will be bringing on the mission, but make sure you can get in and get out without arousing any suspicion. Our nation is counting on you

Howdy! I recently had an idea for having a roleplay based upon the old spy films of the '60s and '70s, if you couldn't tell from the opening letter. If you want the short and skinny, I will happily provide it:

• Set in the late '60s
  All contained on the grounds of a Kivasekian Hotel
  Technology summit taking place
  Find out Kivasekian motives
  Collect data on other nation's technologies
  Limit casualities
  Arouse little to no suspicion/ Remain undetected
  No help from outside the hotel
  Any gear, but keep in mind the mission parameters

If any person wants to make any suggestions to the ruleset, the scenario, or anything at all, please, make a post so I can see what I can do.

Sounds good, however, it seems very open to interpretation. I could easily say, "I drop a nuke on the summit and everyone is vaporized instantly." Or something less distructive but equally game derailing. It needs a tight set of rules.

There are a lot of ways you could go about this:

1. Spy V Spy V Spy. Everyone gets one Spy that has infiltrated the summit on their behalf. Through the roleplay, you (somehow) attempt to steal secrets from other nations and kill, team up with, interact with, or egnore all together the other spies. It would be tricky to deal with things like killing other spies, but would be very fun if we can pull it off.

2. Kivasek V the Summit. The Kivasekian Spy attempts to steal all of our secrets and we attempt to thwart him/her, discover his/her motives, and continue with the summit. Again, might be hard to pull of. However it would be easier than Spy V Spy V Spy.

3. Spy v Summit V Spy. A combination of 1 and 2. Each player attempts to steal other nations secrets with their spy while thwarting attempts by other nation's spies to steal their secrets. It might get extreamly confusing but would be awsome to pull off succesfully.

You don't have to go with any of this but I figured I would put it out there anyway.


PS a hotel map might be very helpful for any of my ideas.
