The main Unit of currency in the Domini Federation is the "domi".

Our bills look like this:

The Owl is the national animal of Domnonia. They have been known to, at times, flourish in our many lush forests.

A portrait of Delain Hruska, father of Confederation. His most famous quote, and our national motto are featured on ever bill.

Being a peninsula like landmass, Domnonia and the Sea have shared many experiances together.

Fetured on this bill is the Domini Parliament Building.(a.k.a. The Bessborough in downtown Saskatoon, Canada)

We like to farm.

In my opinion, the domi bills are very pretty and shiny, shiny indeed!
The King has issued a public statement callin the domi bills wonderful.

But would you care to tell us why the different symbols were used?

Until I have finally devised a script for Baranxe?, nobody will ever know what the aimau bills look like.

Wow, that is some amazing currency. In Adam Island we use 'Jay' or 'J' but the government has not yet elected to make scanned copies of the bills avaliable on the internet for some odd reason.

OOC: I'm afraid I don't have the software necessary to create such amazing pictures. Sad

According to N? Economy, the current exchange rate is 4.214 Yuunli Dollars for $1, thus one Yuunli Dollar is about 24?.

Inofficially I calculate with approximately ?0.05 for 1 dollar (called "Tola" in Poirih). Wink That's the basis for the currency values indicated below.

There are 6 coins and 6 bills:

$1: On the front side of this small round aluminum coin, you can see the number 1. Above it, in a much smaller font, the letters CPRY for Chtat Pank fun t Repuplik Yuanal ("State Bank of the Republic of Yuunli"), below TOLA (the name of the currency in Poirih). On the back, there is an Alpine flower from the Diafn Mountains. Above that picture you can see the coinage year, and below the words OAN TOLA ("one dollar").

$3: Somewhat bigger than the $1 coin, octagonal, front: 3, back: a butterfly from the meadows of Putal, below: TRAI TOLA.

$5: Big round aluminum coin, front: 5, back: an owl from the woods of Oipach, below: FIMPF TOLA.

$10: Small round Nordic gold coin with shaped edge, front: 10, back: a black bear from Uaza, below: TSEN TOLA.

$30: Somewhat bigger than the $10 coin, octagonal, shaped edge, front: 30, back: a buffalo from the Chamm Prairie, below: TRAISKE TOLA.

$50: Big round Nordic gold coin with shaped edge, front: 50, back: a blue whale from the Arctic Ocean, below: FITSKE TOLA.

I still have to decide what will be on the $100, $300, $500, $1000, $3000 and $5000 bills...

Very impressive!

A silly question: How do you pronounce the name of your nation? I tend to 'talk' inside my head when I read, and my mind gets tongue tied.

Perhaps we should annoint you our regional Treasurer.

Oooh, Yuunli, I wonder if all that extra weight in the pocket could cause some sort of back problems later in life?

Extra weight? Why? With the inofficial approximate exchange rate, the coins are worth between 5 Euro Cents / 6? U.S. / 7 Canadian cents (1 Yuunli Dollar) and ?2.50 / $3 U.S. / $4 can (50 Yuunli Dollars), and there are bills/banknotes from 100 Yuunli Dollars (?5 / $6 / $7 can) to 5000 Yuunli Dollars (?250 / $310 / $370 can)...

By the way, "Nordic gold" is what the 10, 20 and 50 Euro Cent coins are made of: 89% copper, 5% aluminum, 5% zinc and 1% tin. Wink

Speaking of currency, the question is, whose currency becomes the "standard"? (Much like the US dollar/Euro).

Oh, i just noticed on the NSEconomy page, that I have a nice exchange rate! Big Grin

Right now;
Koster has the highest exchange rate, (1 riksdaler buying $US2.0479 or 1.1515 DataGenean Shineys)

followed by my Nation,
DataGenesis (1 Shiney Buying $US1.7785).

The lowest is Sober Thought (1 Denkmark buying $US0.0045 or 0.0025 Shineys)

Maybe we should even start a regional statistics page on exchange rates....... Or maybe I should be quiet.

I would think either your currency or IK's. Smile

Reasons: You both have been around long enough. Your economies seem to be pretty strong relative to many of us.

I think IK's would be the best considering the age of the nation and the economy status!
