NATIONAL COUNCIL RECALLED!
by Godho Pranna, Political Correspondent

Following the massive casualties brought on by the recent plague of undead and the national council?s slow and belated reaction to the crises, the surviving citizens of Jade Tigers have demanded an immediate vote of ?No Confidence? and immediate recall of all members of the Jade Tigers National Council, including Representative Zhon.

When asked for comment, the aging National Representative simply stated, ?If this is the will of the people, so be it.? He went on to make an official apology on behalf of the National Council for their inaction in the face of this crisis, and vowed that ongoing efforts to aid and secure the survivors and exterminate the remaining zombies would continue to be the current government?s top priority while elections are being held to seat a new National Council and National Representative.

Other Councilmembers were not so gracious. Councilman Dahashi commented, ?If the people of Jade Tigers had not become so complacent in the recent years of peace, they would have remembered to keep up their training and would have been more capable of defending themselves when the need arose rather than waiting helplessly while the National Military cleared the capital and various military installations. They have only themselves to blame.? Meanwhile, Councilman Yoh-ri was somewhat more forgiving, ?It is just as well. Now those of us so inclined can begin a more useful career in plague research, an area in which Jade Tigers is clearly far behind. This was all inevitable really.?

Elections have already begun with local results already beginning to come in from local Councils across the nation.

Experience Takes the Day!
by Godho Pranna, Political Correspondent

The first results from the national recall elections have come in from the province of Nantu. The voters here have selected Councilman Kadan Arakan to represent them on the National Council and hope to see him selected as National Representative as well. Mr. Kadan is an elder statesman in Nantu and will bring a wealth of experience to his new office, including the heroic actions during the current crisis which have thrust him into the national spotlight.

Councilman Kadan gave a brief speech before his supporters in which he vowed to continue the work of purging the undead plague from the nation and to rebuild the communities shattered by recent events. He ended the speech with words of praise for the previous National Councilman from Nantu, Bagha Desu, who lost his life fighting the undead in Manika Kiritam during the early days of the current troubles, and ended with the cryptic phrase "There are too many names." This has had pundits abuzz as to what this could mean for Mr. Kadan's term.

As elections continue across the nation, what is being called "The War of Open Graves" continues unabated, and the people of Jade Tigers awaits with bated breath to see who will join Kadan Arakan on the National Council and which of them will be selected as National Representative to the world.

Koku Selects Simplicity
by Godho Pranna, Political Correspondent

The election results from the province of Koku have finally come in and the results were hardly a surprise. The voters here showed an early and fervent support for Ainduru Kappabar and after dominating his opponents in the polls he will now head to Manika Kiritam to represent the province on the National Council and possibly be selected as National Representative as well. Brother Kappabar is known for his firm gentleness and his love for all living creatures.

Mr. Ainduru has not spoken publicly since winning the election and has reportedly secluded himself in meditation and reflection while awaiting his flight to the capital. Those who know him say that we can expect well considered leadership to come from his term in office.

The Councilman Elect's predecessor, Do-da Daina, expressed surprise at the results, speculating "I don't know. Perhaps, with all of the death and chaos, the voters of Koku wish for a Councilman that will inspire peace? I cannot say."

National Elections to Resume
by Godho Pranna, Political Correspondent

With what is being called "The Battle of I-Kara" finally over, a relieved populace prepares to once more turn their attentions to the polls as the elections to determine the remainder of the new National Council resume.

With all three of the new council members (Kadan Arakan of Nantu Province, Ainduru Kappabar of Koku Province, and Marai Niruban of Barakam Province) having taken part in the battle and survived, all eyes now turn to Kikam Province who's election results were being tallied when the battle erupted and which are expected to be announced within a week's time.

Meanwhile, candidates from Duniki Province are expected to be announced for voter consideration and there is much speculation as to what effect the recent battle will have on voter turn outs and attitudes if any. Will they prefer candidates more focused on eliminating the remaining undead or continue to favor those with rebuilding in mind? Will they even bother to show up? Only time will tell.

Kikam chooses New Blood
by Godho Pranna, Political Correspondent

The results of the provincial elections in Kikam have come in and, with 41% of the votes in her favor, the citizens of Kikam Province have overwhelmingly chosen the adventurer and world explorer Abi Durubi to represent them on the national council.

When the results finally came in, Ms. Abi is reported to have let out a loud "whoop" and hugged everyone near her. In a later interview, she gave the following statement.

"I am so proud to have been chosen to represent my home province on the national council. It truly is a great honor. With all of our recent troubles it will be good to have the opportunity to help make us more open to international relations. Likewise, so much of our material heritage has been destroyed, I would like to see as much of it as possible restored as well. Of course, there is so much work to be done everywhere, and with pockets of the infected still breaking out, it will be a true challenge; one I relish the opportunity to face!"
