Plant's neighbors seek answers
From my local newspaper.
In my hometown, there's a cement plant. A year or two ago, we found out that it was the largest emitter of mercury pollution in the entire state (and New York is a big state). Now they're testing locals to see how bad the effects have been. I live pretty close to the plant. My father grew up just down the road. So reasonably, I get a little worried when I read stuff like this.
So what does the IDU think? Shouldn't these test have been done a long time ago? How much pollution is too much?
