Could be a "government" mix-up!
When I first was working for the State of California at my current job, they had my birthday listed in their records as Jan. 1, 2000. Yes, despite labour laws, California had at the time a 1-year old working as an engineer.
My boss tried to fix it, but she didn't have access to birthday info ... only personnel admins could change it. Eventually somebody caught the mistake and changed by birthday to Jan. 1, 1969. Why 1969 I will NEVER know ... but that is what they did. Since we can tap into our retirement at age 55, I've been very quiet about the fact that I'm two years younger than the government *thinks* I am.
Crazy thing: my passport and driver's license are both correct.
