I guess I should become the latest to post here.

I'm Nicholas, 25, born in Switzerland but raised in the UK for most of my life. As you may tell, I have Romanian influences in my family and I spent (and continue to spend) much of my time there with my work.

No picture yet, but I'll have to get one. Hope this sparks up this thread...

OK, despite what some of you may have heard, my name is not actually Kenny, and I don't really die in every episode. I'm actually a thirtysomething writer and researcher from sunny southern California, a university graduate who works as a freelance writer and caregiver, and has developed an especial expertise on perfecting the Kraft macaroni dinner. On NS, I only play the nation (Omigodtheykilled)Kenny, I'm the founder of AO and several affiliate regions, and the author of several WA resolutions, including World Assembly Headquarters and WA General Fund, which, as has been recently pointed out to me, have not really accomplished much of anything, save eliciting gripes from players about the term "donation" and how the WA has become a slumlord and imperialist landgrabbing power. So when the gnomes come 'round your national headquarters and start demanding all your money and half your land, you'll know who to blame. Cheers.

Hi, I'm a 25-year-old historical researcher living in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area. I got involved with NS in February 2006 and was most active in Aberdeen/Uroca and Americana/Nova Atlantica. I'm just kind of here now...

This question gets harder to answer the older I get but for those that may be interested here's a brief bio.

I'm originally from Basingstoke (UK) and have lived in Reading (UK), New Mexico (USA), Boston (USA), Bristol (UK) and I currently reside in Kingswood, South Gloucestershire (UK).

I work as an eTrading Consultant which leads to the erroneous assumption that I'm a consultant who knows about eTrading - my job is more account/relationship management than anything else.

Four and a half months ago my wife and I became parents to a beautiful baby girl who has become the centre of our world.

I've recently completed something I called '40 at 40' which was an intention to experience 40 new things in my 40th year - this is something that I really enjoyed and among the more exciting endeavours which I undertook were walking on hot coals, having a go on the world's fastest zip wire, flying a light aircraft, appearing as an extra in a short film and riding a snow mobile.

40 at 40 was such a great set of experiences that I'm now undertaking something I'm calling 50 until 50 which is what it says on the can - my next experience will be jet skiing at the end of May.

I'm an aspiring science fiction writer and enjoy keeping fit which I do thorough gym, yoga and walking. One of my 40 at 40 was appearing in an amateur dramatic stage show and I'm hoping to appear in another production this year.

They say that 42 is the meaning of life - I turn 42 in a few months time and I can say that I'm pretty happy with my life - not sure if I've found the meaning yet though!

Apologies for the size of the attached photo - I played around with the settings for a good ten minutes but couldn't work oout how to get an image that had been reduced in to then copy over properly!

Good idea reviving this!

Alright, so my name is Connor, I'm originally from Massachusetts, currently a rising sophomore at Brown University studying political science and history, and pretty gay.

I'm a prolific watcher of Netflix (right now I'm on a Portuguese-language film stint, but my viewing history ranges from House of Cards to sushi documentaries) and reader of books (just finished Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez). Love soccer and support Everton but can't play it for my life. I love theater and Gilmore Girls.

In NS, I mostly stick to the GA forum. I've played as two nations - Connopolis and Sciongrad. I was pretty young when I played as Connopolis so I tend to distance myself from anything I may have said or done while playing on that account. As Sciongrad, I've passed resolutions on basic legal rights and disarmament and have gained a reputation as a fringe pacifist for them - Imperium Anglorum recently said "Tomorrow, they'll propose a resolution to prohibit alcohol, then warm drinks. Turns out scalding liquids can be used as a weapon to conquer nations and alcohol leads to warmongering."

I've been with the IDU since about 2012 and do not plan on leaving anytime soon. I really hope this revival we're going through bears fruit. I'm confident, though.

Here's a picture of me (I'm the one in the front left):

I did this once, but that was close to a decade ago, so I feel like it's ok for me to go again.

My English-speaking friends call me Nic, I'm a Swede living in Norway with a family, currently working as a government bureaucrat and formally educated in political science and film studies.

Latest viewing for my own benefit was probably 'The Americans', which I liked a lot. But at the moment it feels like we're mostly watching 'Frozen' and 'Cars' or something along those lines. As for books, I just finished 'Vineland' by Pynchon (a good read), and started 'The Spanish Civil War' by Beevor. My football team of choice is the Wolverhampton Wanderers (mostly sorrows, should've been born way earlier).

I started playing about ten years ago, with different nations in different regions. I stopped in 2009/2010, mainly because of RL obligations. I returned a year ago. I spend my NS-time editing issues with Sanc and the others, but I'm ready to devote some of my time to developing a revamped IDU.

Picture of me while visiting the forests of British Columbia. They've got some of trees.

EDIT: apparently I'm a moron and can't get the picture thing right. I've got long brown hair, a brown plaid shirt and I'm standing among trees. You know, imagine it.

I'm actually really glad more people posted, even if they already did eight to ten years ago! I also saw how short my "who I am" was compared with the rest of you, but I accept that for now. I'm also really impressed that there is such diversity of location for those who are posting. The last region I was really active in (Uroca) was pretty evenly split between Brits, Canadians, New Zealanders, and Americans with once Basque if I remember correctly.

I'm glad you bumped this thread too because frankly, I didn't even know it existed!

And yeah, I'm pleasantly surprised by the diversity of the region too. Of course, Brits and Americans are still over-represented, but that's to be expected given the game is in English. Anyway, I hope others make use of this thread! Now's a great time as well, considering we're trying to inject some life into the region.
