Created in 1789 to protest against the nobility following the first press release made by reformist pro-Constitutionalist (in favour of a Constitutional Monarchy) Jean Dumoulin published “La Gazette du Cœur”, meaning “The Heart’s Gazette”, through a public declaration saying his trust, love and passion for the future of nation (a concept which did not seriously existed at the time). The name “Heart”, “Cœur” in Ilysan, that Jean Dumoulin published on the header, signing and sealing his press release with, would inspire for the name of the “Perfect Republican City” that would be built following the Revolution.

With 1 250 000 printed versions daily, as digital press is having a tough time in Ilys, La Gazette as it’s its nickname, is considered as the first Ilysan media both in terms of audience and popularity, as its news are trusted and the redaction of La Gazette maintains a Radical Republican position and speech through its writings.

Due to its position as the heart of Ilysan media universe, very early following the revolution, the newspaper like 14 others from various political aspirations and visions were subsidised by the Republic with no possibility of regards by the Republic’s Officials to prevent any possible corruption or threat against the redactions. The subsidies are managed by the Ministère des Affaires Éducatives et Scientifiques as it have a great educational impact on the child, and allows an easier introduction to active-life for those choosing journalism-studies, given that the Republic fully pay all bills for education until the age of 25.

Commemorations throughout the nation are to be held, as the fallen yet victorious, are remembered, in eternal glory and what was the first greatest Humanitarian catastrophe. The 11 Members of Le Conseil shall participate, from one corner to the other of the nation, to local ceremonies for celebrating the centenary of the end of the Grande Guerre, the one which ended them all.

A victory, certainly, in the end, in the blood. But at what cost? Deaths counted in millions, the same goes for those having been injured physically from the Grande Guerre. Those that didn’t lost their lives or a part of their physical integrity aren’t spared, from the bombings having hurt the economy, destroyed entire villages by erasing them from the map, psychologically being harmed or losing a close friend or family member, rare are those in our Republic which at the time, did not felt the cost of such victory as, side by side with all citizens, they celebrated the relief, the relief of an ended war, and a coming peace.

The M.A.M.S. Tarente attending to the 21 Brumaire Commemoration Ceremony in his native and residential-Department

The M.A.M.S. Tarente, or Minister of Army to turn it short, have returned like every single Republic’s Officials, exception made of Consuls and Ambassadors, to their native and residential-department and hometown to participate to the commemoration ceremonies. The Minister in charge of arming our nation, prepare it and defend it in case the inevitable was to happen again, certainly seems confident in the Republic’s capabilities but defended the need to have a growing diplomatic network to prevent as much a situation that would lead, eventually, in the far future, to such disastrous scenario again.

To this, the M.A.D.C. Richard, or in short once more, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, have shown a clear intention following the last meeting of Le Conseil to seek new diplomatic relations abroad, develop and maintain those existing along expand the vision of the Republic’s beyond its borders through agreements and international treaties and organisations to affirm its place on the geopolitical stage, willing to use all its power to ensure eternal peace throughout the World. Such optimistic view by the Minister can certainly be questioned, however his passion shows a clear will, with actions that shall naturally discharge from such.

Peace remains an abstract concept for youngest generations, as latest wars on the Republic’s soil were more then over 70 years ago, letting an entire generation ignore the pain it created. Such ignorance is, at least tried, to be resolved through the maintenance of the Service Citoyen, the military service.

Actions to encourage peace can be taken, however it remains incertain if those will be efficient, and when. But peace is not something to be earned, it demands and require a constant discipline, attention and education among the citizens. A mistake is enough to turn those fruits of our ancestors, turning them down, crashing them in a frivolous butchery that shall this time end us. What remains important is for the citizens to be aware of such, and act accordingly.
