Some updates on current events.

OOC: Oh, I had such grand plans for this fall. I was going to write a resolution, and try to repeal another one. I was going to do some serious RP and create wikipages for all my puppet nations, and further develop the Gnejsian one. The thing is I have begun a new job, and this is a job with low internet access. I haven?t got internet at my home at the moment, but its coming. So right now my only chance to play NS is on every other weekend when I?m at my old job. Thus my absence.

I thought I would just give you a quick fill in on current event in Gnejs.

IC: A small area in the eastern part of the Green People?s Republic has chosen to exercise its right to recede and form a nation of its own. Gnejs newest neighbour is The Armed Republic of Emigrated Gnejsians. The controversial law about territories right to recede has never been used before, and this event is a truly historical one. It is leading ?Free Thinker? Jonathan Theen and his followers that have collected enough signatures from citizens of the (former) Delia district in eastern Gnejs to hold a vote of independence. Delia has long been a stronghold for the free thinkers and an overwhelming 87% of the districts population voted for a resignation from the Green People?s Republic and the founding of a new nation. Elections were held the very next day and the Free Thinkers (formerly The Free Thinkers of Gnejs) won power and Jonathan Theen was elected president. The emigrated Gnejsians currently have NO laws what so ever, although it is anticipated that the government soon will begin legislating at least some rules and regulations. The Armed Republic has been categorized as Anarchy by the UN, although seeing as the newly founded nation has very few inhabitants the labeling of a complete breakdown of civil order and chaos are greatly exaggerated.

President Inga Karlberg stated shortly that she felt sorry over the loss of the Delia District, but wished President Theen and the citizens of the Armed Republic the best of luck and hoped for a close cooperation between the nations.

The title Armed in the nations name stands for every citizen?s right to bear arms and the nations motto is ?Industry, Education, Firearms?
