I'm currently reading 1984 for a British Literature class. I actually haven't read it, I am enjoying it so far. I'm to the part where they are being picked up by the Thought Police. (don't give away the ending...)

A confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole.

I thought it was pure genius... Fantastic!

I read Frankenstein for class...was surprised at how good it actually was (and how far off the movies are).

Yeah, he's good: Have you read any of his other books yet?

I read Darkly Dreaming Dexter, by Jeff Lindsay, last week. It was really interesting; if you ever watched the Showtime series Dexter, it was adapted from this novel.

Before that it was Richard Dawkins' The God Delusion...for the third time in two months. Rolleyes

Yep. Same here.

I finished In At The Death by Harry Turtledove last. Last book in a fiction quadrology that looked at a hypothetical Second World War where the Confederates won the civil war, and fought the US in the First World War... I like alternate histories...

I've read some of Turtledove's works, but his 'World War'-type series (whether Alternative History or outright Fantasy) tend to get a bit too 'dark' for my liking...
Have you read 'Agent of Byzantium', 'The Case of the Toxic Spell Dump', 'Between The Rivers', or any of the 'Gerin the Fox' series?
