			At the age of 22, after graduating from university, Chaher married Sana Azim in 1991. Their first son, Yousef, was born in 1994. His brother, Aamer was born three years later in 1997.

			Yousef is currently a PhD student in Carville on a leave of absence, and Aamer is a lieutenant in the Lauchenoirian Navy.
