			Gangkou is located on the Gangtze estuary of Allied Cities' southwest coast, with the Gangtze River separating the territory from [[Gladysynthia]] to the west and the [[Strait of Vulkaria]] to the north. The land is formed by the Gangtze's natural deposition and modern land reclamation projects. As such, it has sandy soil, and skyscrapers are to be built with deep concrete piles to avoid sinking into the soft ground. 			Gangkou was a fishing village during the majority of the history of the Shen Empire.

Canning, garments, lithography, plastic, and toys are some of the principal products, although the city hosts dozens of Zamastanian and other foreign companies that service the technology, retail, and automobile industries.
