The '''Central Liberalian Republic''' is a landlocked nation in central [[Liberalia]] which borders [[Opthelia]] and [[The Lavender Country]]. The CLR fought on the side of the [[Pact of the Three Emperors]] during the [[Great War]].

The Central Liberalian Republic is a nation that, by all accounts, should not exist. The “Republic Between the Lakes”, originally a series of independent settlements founded after the discovery of precious metals in the area, would eventually unify into a confederation of small republics to protect against annexation. The “Liberalian Confederation” faced problems immediately after its formation - many of the republics still wished to retain their autonomy, and the Confederation had little in the way of a standing military. Rather, it was expected to able-bodied men to be mobilized in the event of an invasion. The Liberalian Confederation officially became the Central Liberalian Republic after a series of civil wars between regionalists and centralists - the latter came out on top, hence the name.

There are three ethnic groups - Palivan, the original native culture, the Roznoi, the initial settlers who came during the gold rush, and the Mizhanki, the newest wave of settlers and everyone who came after the Roznoi.
