Sapient species - Bears Armed - 08-24-2006

Okay, presumably you all know by now that the "people" of Bears Armed really are bipedal Bears, or 'Ursines': Are there any other non-'human' sapients out there? I seem to recall that when I introduced this nation, back in June, somebody said something about some (also fairly new?) gorillas...

Is the nation of Vampyrio actually controlled by vampires of some kind?

Mikitivity is human, but since you came along side, I'm going to establish that the western cantons typically incorporate architectural features and accomidations that are sized for both humans and bears. All along Mikitivity has not only been about being my mix of real life places (Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg, Lichtenstein, Canada, California, Texas, and Pennsylvania), but also Mikitivity has *always* been based on a fantasy roleplaying world I created when I was in Jr. High. (The very name comes from a friend who described Mikitivity as the state of mind I live in.) Aslan canton was going to be highly restricted to many foreign travelers for their own safety, as I had planned on actually having orcs living there, but the official Mikitivity government never officially acknowledging the presence of them nor of witchcraft, which is still practiced in "dark" non-public corners of Mikitivity.

The idea that a vampire or two might still be around in Mikitivity is a possibility as well.

But actually, it's quite similar with Baranxtu; the myths I'm still translating were actually among the first things I conceived (after my first conlang), and the home country is still what will be the set for the fantasy novel I always had planned to write. Some day.

There may be no other sapient species in Baranxtu, but phenomena that appear and actually are supernatural? Definitely. And who knows, maybe I'll turn my Baranxtuan tigers secretly sapient, after all *cryptically shifty eyes*

H'mm. "Aslan"? Could that be where we might find sapient Lions? (Ref. the leonine Christ-avatar 'Aslan' in the land of Narnia and the leonine 'Aslani' species in the 'Traveller' RPG... ;-)

H'mm. I'd been assuming that official contact between the Bears and their neighbours only began around the date (this June) when I created the nation, but evidently there must have been some unofficial contact -- at least with some of your people -- before then too. Come to think of it, that engineering work that one of your firms did here would presumably have been before the official date for 'First Contact'...
(H'mm, again:If that deal was before your national government knew about the Bears, I wonder whether the company concerned was entirely honest about reporting its associated income for tax purposes?)

Officially, Enn was entirely human. However, there were persistant rumours that the Councillers were actually some other race - this would account for their extreme secrecy. The Councillers disappeared during Destabilisation, still unmasked. It is possible some of them may have survived the destruction of Enn, ready to rule once more...

It is clear that the traditional rulers of the schnauzerlands, well, are not human.

It is also said that there is a confidential quasi-military unit that protects the traditional royal family, only known by its initials, the RSB. Smile

Er... undisclosed Baranxtuan... sources say that hippies, unlike the normal members of the species Homo sapiens, should be classified as a controlled substance, as consumption of these makes you study the movement of your paws very carefully

No, the population of Stolidia is almost entirely made up of standard-sized humans. We do have a very few dwarves and giants, but we're not sure how many, and possibly an elf or two. In our sister nation, Ausserland, the population is 94% dwarven. And the population of our other sister nation, Wailele Island, consists mainly (87%) of members of two races: the No'ono'i dwarves and the Tangata Roroa giants, with a few elves, humans, and others.

Hmmm, well, The Vampyre is the national "animal" of Vampyro- but i wouldn't say theyre an animal. Some people speculate that the government keeps the vamyres in control somehow- as any ancient records found depict the vampyres as the stronger and more intelligent spieces- these people may well be right. Anything to do with the vampyres is kept now under strict control- i suspect that some rogue section of my government is doing something to the vampyres. But i don't know anything- but my agents are now looking into it- all records are trying to be found again.
