Could be fun, no? From what I can think of right now, the nations that could be a part of this are Mikitivity, Antrium, Keeslandia, Fonzoland, and myself. Of course, if anyone else imagines a Keeslandic ancestry or colonial history for your nation, then you're more than welcome to join aswell. I'm more or less thinking this would be nice to flesh out our wikis with.

Proposal of the Principles of a Commonwealth of Keeslandic States
The Commonwealth of Keeslandic States is a voluntary association of independent sovereign states with a shared cultural heritage, each responsible for its own policies, consulting and co-operating in the common interests of their peoples and in the promotion of international understanding and world peace.
Members of the Commonwealth come from territories in the International Democratic Union and elsewhere, who have a cultural connection to the Keeslands. They encompass a rich variety of cultures, traditions and institutions.
We believe that international peace and order are essential to the security and prosperity of mankind; we therefore support the Nation States United Nations
We believe in the liberty of the individual, in equal rights for all citizens regardless of race, colour, creed or political belief, and in their inalienable right to participate by means of free and democratic political processes in framing the society in which they live.
We recognise racial prejudice as a dangerous sickness threatening the healthy development of the human race and racial discrimination as an unmitigated evil of society.
We believe that the wide disparities in wealth now existing between different sections of mankind are too great to be tolerated.
We believe that international co-operation is essential to remove the causes of war, promote tolerance, combat injustice, protect the environment and secure development among the peoples of the world.
In pursuing these principles the members of the Commonwealth believe that they can provide a constructive example of the multi-national approach which is vital to peace and progress in the modern world.
These relationships we intend to foster and extend, for we believe that our multi-national association can expand understanding among our peoples. This Commonwealth is to be a forum for discussion and declarations pertaining to liberty, democracy, the environment and trade within its member states.

This is more or less similar to the concept I've been using for "the Schnauzerlands" and what I originally labelled as "The Treaty of Mutuality" There are six schnauzer states in the IDU (and one in TNP) and that explains why their flags are similar (except for fhe colors), why they have the same currency and national animal, and why they're all "Democratic Federations" -- which is intended to imply identical governmental strcture at and below the national level. The schnauzerlands use a federated model rather than a commonwealth model, with a federal parliament, and an equal number of members elected from each member nation.
It makes sense to me if there is a Keeslandic commonwealth as well. As I see this, there would be ethnic schnauzervolk in the westernmost area of the commonwealth, and ethnic Keeslanders in the two easternmost schnauzerlands (SD and GS) because of the shared access to Democracy Bay which forms part of the border of all three.

I like this idea, it's a well-written agreement. I don't have anything to disagree with really, where do I sign?
Plus, I'm in support of anything to add to the wiki, especially history and culture. Since I didn't know American Federalist, I have to make up a lot in those areas. Having Keeslandian background would make it a little easier because there is more information available.

Well, from what I recall, Mikitivity, AF and I have all proclaimed Keesland ancestry. Maybe Sober Thought aswell, I'll ask. So, I was hoping it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to include you two aswell!
Gross, ya, your "western bloc" s what galvanized this idea. I'm kindof thinking this would be more along the lines of the british commonwealth system. It's interesting.

The Empire believes this to be a capital idea. Our common cultural hertiages and this explicit understanding between our nations will only foster further understanding, cultural exchange and trade opportunities over time.
Emperor Ullr looks forward to the signing ceremony and has graciously offered to host it in our capital of Blusterton as a full event of state. Of course, we do not wish to prempt any plans Domonia may already have for those formailities. . .the Emperor simply wishes to offer.

Emperor Ullr, magnificent, beneficent, most honored ruler of Keeslandia extends an official state invitation to the leaders or their designated representatives of those nations forming the Commonwealth of Keeslandic States to the signing ceremony of the treaty creating said Commonwealth. Those nations include Fonzoland, Mikitivity, Domnonia and Antrium.
Other interested nations are invited to send delegates to observe the official signing and to participate in the accompanying events. All events will be in the Keeslandic capital city of Blusterton. The schedule of events is:
May 3, 2006
6pm -- Official Welcoming Ceremony Spitz Palace - Residence of the Emperor
8pm -- Welcoming Dinner (non-state event, all attendees welcomed with RSVP) Spitz Palace - Residence of the Emperor
11pm -- Reception Spitz Palace Courtyard
Midnight -- Fireworks display while the reception and libations continue
2am -- Official ceremonies conclude.

1pm -- Welcome by Emperor Ullr and Comments by other heads of state Springing Hall - Seat of the Keeslandic Parliament
2pm -- Celebratory Entertainment including a rare performance by the Native Keeslandia Acrobatic Troop Springing Hall

4pm -- Concluding Remarks and the end of the Signing Ceremony
7pm -- Official State Dinner (invitation only) Spitz Palace
10pm -- Fireworks and Reception (all invited) Courtyard of Spitz Palace

2am -- Bar closes.

To the nations of the Commonwealth of the Kesslandic States:
On behalf of the ethnic Keeslanders residing within the territory of the Schnauzer Dominions (once known as Flankia), and at the request of the members of the schnauzerlands federation Parliament representing the Schnauzer Dominions, the schnauzerlands federation hereby proposes that it become a party to the Principles of the Commonwealth of Keeslandic States.
The schnauzerlands federation parliament adopted a motion directing the federation government to present this proposal to the members of the Commonwealth by a unamious vote of its 600 members.
