I wanted to let those of you building your airlines and airforces that I've created Schmeiser Luftschiffaufbau, a Mikitivity based airship company.

In addition to making airships for passenger use, Schmeiser also makes smaller blimps for advertisting purposes. If your country would like a few blimps, just reply here, because I'd like to list nations where Schmeiser has sold aircraft. Schmeiser also manufactors hot air ballons too for recreational use!

I cleaned up the NSWiki airship article a bit. I hope to someday add a bit more to it.
So for Amidonia's airships, are they for:
1) Military
2) Transportation :: Passenger or Cargo
3) Tourism
4) Adversting
Is a modern tech (post WWII design) OK? And do you want a standard blimp or rigid-airship or simple balloon?
What I'll do is dream up some basic designation and talk about that particular model. The Eule Airlines uses rigid airships for passenger service and there are blimps used in Mikitivity for the other three uses I've listed.

Easily.

Thank you for your kind offer, but Stolidia already has an airship: the passenger blimp S.A.S. Graf von Nirgendwo, commanded by that intrepid aeronaut, Captain John J. Smith. A picture of Captain Smith is appended for the enjoyment of his many fans.

Well, if the S.A.S. Graf von Nirgendwo is interesting in treating Flughafen Biberweisen as one of its stops, I can assure you that the airport is well equipped for airship support.

(Let me know, and I'll update my NSWiki entry to reflect service from Stolidia.)

Do you make rigid airships?
What are the largest that you make?
Max capacity for passengers?
Cargo tonnage?
Can you provide technical assisstance in aerodrome construction/ fleet management?

Schmeiser does in fact manufacture rigid and non-rigid airships.
I'll have to think a bit about the largest size ... but the airships currently made are intended for overseas travel. Schmeiser has provided the Mikitivity Rote Kreuz with one ship that the organization can use to ferry emergency crews. I'll probably actually start building some actual stats for all the airships produced and currently in service plus those that were in accidents in March.
Thus far, I figure I'll number each ship: Sm-1, Sm-2, Sm-3, etc. and then assign it a class and designation. The class will be used to determine variations on a model, so Sm-1 and Sm-2 will likely be experimental rigid ships used in Mikitivity and likely of the Sm-1 Class. Once a ship is sold, its designation is up to whomever bought the craft, so airships sold in Mikitivity will probably be LS-1, LS-2, etc. for Luftschiff-1, etc. But once an airship is sold outside of the confederation its designation is for whom purchases it.
Balloons, being cheaper, won't be numbered, but will still have a class (and within Mikitivity a designation, which actually will be carried by the gondola).
Obviously the cargo tonage will be a factor of two things: your ability to fuel the ship (which Hawkins canton -- where Schmeiser will be headquartered -- will have some helium and there is no reason that other countries can supply it, but you are free to risk non-Mikitivity flights using hydrogen.)
My graphics skills aren't at the point where I can 3D render images for the ships, but for roleplaying purposes, purchasing a Schmeiser airship (not balloon) means you'll get technical support as well. There also will naturally be a test airport in St. Claire. (FYI: I lived in Upper St. Claire, PA as a small child ... a suburb of Pittsburgh.)
Anyways, I figure I'll slowly build up an industry around this. I plan on spending the next year in NationStates developing Mikitivity's industries, ecology, and culture (yes, there will be more festivals, authors, musicians, opera halls, comic books, etc slowly making their debute) and also on importing some of the things you guys make!

We would like to expolore the possibility of ordering several for comercial air service which we believe to be a more eco friendly and more elegant mode of conveyance.
We would also like to explore the usability of rigid airshipship as floating mobile helicopter platforms.

Jonquiere-Tadoussac - 02-26-2006
The Jontadain military would be interested in the purchase of several mid-size rigid airships, suitable for gunship usage.
In addition, the state airline, Aeroflotte Jontadain, would like to make a preliminary purchase of several airships, comprising heavy cargo carriers and lighter passenger models.
(Should any other state be interested in establishing international airship routes, the cities of Tadoussac and Acadi?re are being outfitted with airship facilities for just this occasion.)

Oh geeze, I'm so sorry. I went on a vacation and never looked back here. Would it be possible to get several of these blimps. Perhaps for all purposes?
