Groot Gouda Adopts New Flag - Groot Gouda - 02-05-2006

The People's Republic of Groot Gouda has adopted a new flag. To show its allegiance with the IDU, the official flag uses IDU-blue. The 6 yellow stars from the Goudian coat of arms have been re-used (they represent the 6 original provinces Gouda, Eastmeadow, Overysle, Illians, Gowlands and Shortfields). The IDU scales of justice are in the upper left to show the strong link with both this region and with justice and democracy.

The new flag will be used for all official occasions, both in the NS world as on the diverse fora.

I'm thinking it would be interesting to create a Wiki article on the Flags of Groot Gouda. You've already provided the history of this one here, I would just need the images or pointers to the previous flags.

I had my official Gouda flag and my IDU forum flag.





My IDU flag was explained in the flags thread, the new one was a first attempt at making a new flag but I never liked the colour combination.
