Me: Pixar's "the Incredibles".
I have to say, if you've not seen it, you MUST. It was so good I watched it a few days later.

What is it like? SciFi hinted kinda like Raiders of the Lost Ark.

No not really, it had plenty of the mystery and I can see what sci-fi was talking about but it didn't have that whole ancient booby traps and mystical relics theme to it

Hmmm, the ancient boobie traps were certainly very fun. I'll still have to check it out. Last night on SciFi I watched bits and pieces of their Dune miniseries from several years ago. I actually liked the little that I've seen. I have the DVD for the second miniseries, and watched up the point that I've read.
I like some of what SciFi puts out ... Dune and Battlestar Galactica being chief amoung my favorites.

Battlestar Galactica is awesome, I love the remake of the series. Scifi also has the Stargate series which are awesome.

I _still_ haven't seen Battlestar Gallactica. I'm very curious, though! I don't know anything about Sahara (other than what has been put here...)
The Incredibles was very fun. Much better than I thought it would be.
I just rented Donnie Darko with a friend of mine last night. Also much better than I expected... and, wow, wierd...

I never got into Stargate, but now that it airs before Battlestar, I've actually watched some episodes and wouldn't mind one day watching the DVDs.
But Battlestar is amazing. It reminds me of Babylon 5, in that it is a serialized political drama that happens to have some military and comedy mixed on the sides to give it flavour. It does not seem anything remotely like the original series, and yet, based on my (poor) memory it seems like they've tried to remind true to the flavour and setting of the original series.
I really like Starbuck, now a she ... though at first she annoyed me. What they've been doing with Apollo and the introduction of Tom Zarack (sp?) are great. And Baltar is just too funny.

Hmmm... it does appear that I will have to check it out! Although without even a television, this could be problematic...

Not a worry when a DVD can be played.

I've got the miniseries on DVD. In fact, I bought it upon the recommendation of Galdago and my kid brother, and I'll be purchasing the first season when it comes out.
I also might have to send Crusade up your way, but I'm holding out on that for my dad to finish Babylon 5 so he can watch it.

The last movie I saw was on TV, a week ago,
Galaxy Quest. Rather liked it, despite probably not catching about 200 Startrek references

Naturally that means you caught the other 1501 Trek references, right? *snicker*
I agree, it is a funny movie.

The last one I saw was
Motorcycle Diaries. I don't often go to the movies, but I already know which move I want to watch next:
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (coming here in 5 weeks).

Out of curiousity, where is here? I've not seen it yet, but it is playing here in California.

I actually watched
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom last weekend. Brought back memories, that. Not just of watching Indiana Jones for the umpteenth time, but also of the computergame I played a decade ago, Indiana Jones in Atlantis (or some title like that). Great adventure game, that. They don't make 'm like that anymore.

Actually that's a building on campus, not my appartment. But my appartment is just a few km away from campus.

Wow! In a matter of hours (well days) I'll be not too far from you, relatively speaking. I'll be in Zurich for a few days.

In fact, the closest I've been was last summer when I went to Luxembourg.
As for movies, in preparation for SW Ep. III, I watched Ep. I again last weekend. I must say, I enjoyed the PodRace sequence -- the sound FX were amazing.

More movie updates:
On my flight from Zurich to JFK I caught "National Treasure" ... I liked it well enough. Then Friday (while still jet-lagged) I caught Star Wars: Episode III. I'm going to the Revenge of the Sith again tonight.
Now I had the chance to be uber and see the film before most Americans since it opened on May 18 in Swizterland. No clue why it opened earlier there ... maybe it was the normal midnight thing ... but I wanted my first SW experience (for this film) to be in English, so I waited til I got back to the US.
Now I just need to get back into the swing of life again.
Interestingly I'm now listening to a "promo" CD a guy handed me at the festival, but instead of just being the 4 tracks listed on the CD jacket, the CD itself is a "Full Length" synthpop (and good synthpop) album. WOW!
Don't know how that happened, but I'm not complaining.
I also managed to finally find a club in Zurich one night ... but it was only OK. Nice people, and they danced and danced, but the music selection was so-so.

I think the last movie I saw was "Night At The Museum". I didn't particularly like it.
The last good movie I've seen was probably "Borat".

At the moment, I see two films at school: "Once upon a time in America" in the English class and "Hiver 54" (about abb? Pierre, the priest who has died recently) in the French class.

(I liked it. However, Martin Sheen's narration voice makes me shiver comically.)

I just saw "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly" (I prefer its real title: "Le scaphandre et le papillon") and it was excellent. Very sad though.
It's a true story about the former editor of Elle magazine who had a stroke and was completely paralyzed except for his left eye. Since he can't speak, he communicates by having someone read him the letters of the alphabet, and he blinks when they get to the one he wants. He writes an entire novel (the title is the same) this way.
I recommend it, unless you hate subtitles. (It's in French.)
