The World Assembly,

Admiring the environmental mandate displayed in "Preventing Desertification", which seeks to spread prevention and awareness of desertification as a global issue,

Concerned that "Preventing Desertification" does not take into full account the biodiversity and climate of member states and that it may be poorly worded enough to cause confusion,

Believing that the duties given to the World Assembly Environmental Council (WAEC) are insufficient to address the magnitude of the issue that is targeted,

Worried that various other administration issues arise regarding the WAEC, including that it encroaches on the internal affairs of members states and that the WAEC does not have enough oversight due to the large scope of responsibility it is given,

Confident that "Preventing Desertification" is unproductive and blocks stronger legislation that can target the issue of desertification,
does hereby repeal General Assembly Resolution #432, "Preventing Desertification."
