Queen Emma steps down as Monarch as her son, Joseph takes over as Albert II.
His Majesty chose the regnal name that has only been used once, by his ancestor, King Albert who reigned in the 1400s. Queen Emma has reverted to the title HRH Princess Emma of Saint Isobel, Duchess of Auteuil, The title she last used in 1973, just before her father succeeded to the throne in 1975.
