Both. Plus all of the expansion packs

Of course
I only didn't get the holiday pack, because I wasn't sure it was worth it

I've actually played all four versions at some point.
Right after I installed Sim City 4 on my computer, the HD died, and I haven't been able to replace that HD yet. (I've been using a different computer in the house in the meantime.) Once I get that done then I will try SC4 some more. It's much more complex than SC3000, and I was in a serious learning curve,

Regarding Sims 2:
Random Mode: The best thing is I could actually use it for my term paper where I wrote a chapter about gay characters in computer and video games.
I actually included screenshots of a couply proposing, marrying and with their adopted daughter. Who knew that you could play games for school  ?
And regarding SimCity:
I do own and also sometimes plays SimCity 4 (including Rush Hour because nothing's gonna stop me from buying all EPs even though I play it only four times a year), but unfortunately I never got the hang of making money.
So unless I was constantly cheating, I was constantly broke
Who Are You? -
Jonquiere-Tadoussac - 04-07-2006
Yeah, I hear the cheating thing... I've never figured out how to make money in Sim City either.
And using a Sims relationship in a term paper, that's inventive! Great idea!

Thanks

My teacher thought the same; in the end, I received the highest grade, of course largely due to my superior Mad English Ninja Skillz *brag*
Although, actually it was only a makeshift solution because I simply had to few graphics to spice the text up with (30 pages of pure text are boring to read); I only had a pic of Harvey Milk Plaza and one of the rainbow flag in the Castro, so I had to improvise
To summarize: yay Sims!
--
And about the cheating again, why on earth is there only one for 1,000 simoleons??? It's hard on the joints to click ctrl+v a hundred times in a row!
(Yeah, money managment really isn't my strength

)

If we're talking Sim City 4, there's an easy way if you have a bit of patience. Start a new city, place one square of road, turn on legalized gambling, and let the game run for several hours. The one square of road doesn't cost maintenance, but it is necessary to allow legalized gambling, which will bring in... I don't remember how much, but I made several million by leaving it on overnight.

Baranxtu - 04-07-2006
Thanks for the tip; I'm gonna try that as soon as I have time to play SimCity... because right now, I'm way behind on the next chapter for my TS2 Legacy Challenge
...
Yes, I got too much time on my hands

How have I been here this long and not found this thread?
Until last week, I had shoulder-length hair which changed colour about every fortnight. I'm keeping the colour, but as summer's coming I've changed to short hair.
No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!

Gnejs - 09-05-2006
Lionfante: there's something similar to your hobbythingy in Eddie's million dollar cook off (or something like that, don't remember). Is that it? do you love me?
Who Are You? -
Lionfante - 09-05-2006
No, Gnejs, not right, therefore I do not love you (yet)
It was a reference to the famous Monty Python's "Spanish inquisition" sketch, which can be found
here (via youtube), and
here (via youtube again) you can find the second part of it.

Lionfante: Great reference to a great bit. I hadn't seen it in a long time but have continued to quote it in RL hoping someone would catch on. Alas, none did. But now Huzzah as there's seemingly more than one who shares this similarity. Fitting that this would happen in the NS world. The IDU is a great place to be!
Does anyone remember the one where they're trying to find Mr Neutron? The Americans are bombing everywhere and the only person to help them is a guy by the name of Teddy Salad who is a master of disguise. He is now in the Yukon as a sled dog and had to have part of each arm and leg amputated in order to get into the costume. I've been looking for this on on youtube with no success. Wondering if anyone has seen it or even remembers the one I'm talking about?

I sort-of remember that sketch, but haven't seen any of them for ages. Do you remember 'The Bishop'?
Who Are You? -
Federation of Disjunction - 09-07-2006
I was a bit fuzzy on The Bishop so I went to youtube. As soon as I saw the opening credits I remembered and laughed my arse off! I also spotted the Nudge, Nudge bit, a classic!

It's been along time. A revival, perhaps?
Hi, my name is still Taylor Carlson, though if you happen to pick up this seasons
The Walrus, you'd find an article on Criminal law in Canada and it's applications to immigrants, specifically those of Middle-Eastern or Islamic Oceania origin, with Taylor Eden in the byline.
As my first post in this thread indicated, I was, for a time, a Law student. Shortly after my second semester began I dropped out and took a position at the
Saskatchewan Research Council where I could employ the too expensive statistical and spatial analysis base in Sociology that I had received. Specifically, I worked on a fairly large project regarding Inclusion and Employability within the Mining and Minerals Department.
In 2006 I was approached both by an old professor and childhood friend, who's father was the provincial premier up until this past election, with an offer to accompany them as an elections observer. I haven't looked back since.
I'm still doing stats on a project by project basis while at home herein
Saskatoon; I'll be in India from October through to January helping out with municipal elections and writing.
So, that's what I've been doing since last I posted in this thread. Oh, and there was a little divorce, one of the first gay divorces in Saskatchewan, actually. We only did it because we finally could, and we un-did for that same reason.

This is me, somewhat recently, during some much needed downtime with the fam in
Assiniboia.

Now your turns! Gross, you must have new puppies by now, or at least new pictures? Mik, I've read that you're crazy busy as of late, what's up? And newfolk, tell us about yourselves!
Who Are You? -
Jagera - 06-15-2008
Wow... a divorce just because you could. That is actually quite something.
I formerly posted here under Jonquiere-Tadoussac, but again:
Hi, I'm Lee, 25, and married. I'm in the next province over from Dom, living in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Since last posting, I've finished my degree in Political Science, and have moved on to work for the provincial government of Alberta in Consumer Affairs.
Recently, I've been rather sleep deprived, due to the newborn in the house; my wife and I recently welcomed our first child. Seeing as Gabriel is only three weeks old, however, sleeping through the night is not an option. On the up side, being on leave due to this, I can come here at weird times for something to do

That's some... crazily awesome hair going on up there *g*
And grats for your baby, Jagera (and excuse the use of grats here, but I am sleep-deprived and internet speak flows into my fingers D: ) \o/ !
But ewww, Alberta
